Situated 1.5 miles east of Freshwater Bay on A3055 (military Road) and boasting stunning natural views to the chalk down land valley and Compton Bay, Compton Farm is the ideal location for a family holiday or short break. The farm dates back to 1086 and has been farmed by the present family for many years. Sheltered in a down land valley on National Trust land (which has Sites of Special Scientific Interest status), guests can take a variety of walks over the Downs to enjoy stunning views, and the wonderful wildflowers such as the pyramid orchid.
Only a quarter of a mile away is Compton Bay the last untouched sandy beach of the Island; safe for children and swimming, and facing south it catches all of the sun.
Situated 1.5 miles east of Freshwater Bay on A3055 (military Road) and boasting stunning natural views to the chalk down land valley and Compton Bay, Compton Farm is the ideal location for a family holiday or short break. We are an ideal base for family walks or for the more active a clifftop stroll.
Compton Bay is also home to one of the best surfing spots the Island has to offer. Even if you are not a keen surfer you can watch the many surfers take the waves and watch them glide about below the cliff or from the beach!
